Blazers, The Surprising Fall Trend

A surprising trend that popped up in this year’s New York Fashion Week  is plaid blazers.  Actually not just plaid blazers, but they did seem to dominate the runways.  There were solids, plaids and different textures in both formal and casual wear.  The reason why I say it was surprising is because for the last few seasons, I haven’t seen much in the way of blazers.  Its’s not like it died a complete death, but it just wasn’t dominating the fashion scene.  That even goes for work related fashion.

Fortunately, it’s back and its back in a very big way. I say fortunately because I just filled up my closet at Poshmark with some great looking blazers that I thought would make a great addition to your Fall Wardrobe.

You can check out my closet right here https://poshmark.com/closet/sasyscloset

Here are a few of the blazers I have in my closet right now

Also there is a fabulous article that I found about the Blazer trend that you can read right here

What is “Menocore” as How Does it Pertain to You? For  every new season I try to visualize the look that I want to have achieve.  This year for Fall I was thinking of a more monochromatic style a fitted to the body silhouette.  It’s slimming and I cut my hair into a short pixie look and I would like to have a slender look to go along with my small frame.  My thinking was that it would be an easier look to pull off and put together in the crazy harried mornings when I am putting together a last minute outfit while trying to stay on schedule with my bus!  If it sounds difficult , you’re right it is.  So my thinking was along the lines of looking chic while not having to try to coordinate different looks together and coordinating colors.  I envisioned my look to be slim fitting pants, ribbed turtlenecks (even though turtlenecks annoy me), but it’s a put together look and keep the color scheme in the same family, so I appear taller and slender. ...

What's in Sasy's Closet Today?

Well hello folks!  I have some great Vintage Summer Fun Hats to show you that I think you are going to love.  Hats to me are such a statement of being confident enough to pull it off.  I just loved the #royalwedding fashion that we saw last week.  #Megan Markle can wear any hat and look beautiful and mostly it's because she is a woman who is extremely comfortable in her own skin and it shows. The women in attendance of the #royalwedding all exuded confidence in the style and grace.  Hats are the added accessory that just completes a great outfit, and says  to the world "Hey, look at me, I am a confident woman" Well I have always loved wearing hats for statement dating back to the late 70's I went on a first date with a boy from Bensonhurst Brooklyn wearing a cool News Boy Cap.  My friend Leonora and I went shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue for clothing for that date, and I saw this awesome hat that I knew I had to wear to comple...

For the Love of Fashion

https://poshmark.com/closet/sasyscloset Today is a new day for me.  My passion for fashion has always been there.  Because of many distractions, some welcomed and others not, I have put this passion on the back burner for quite some time.  However, it's a new day and I am back and stronger than ever. Today I would like to talk about the End of Summer Fashion Dilemma.  It never makes me happy to see Summer in the Rear View Mirror. The only thing to wish for is a few extra weeks of Indian Summer. This is where the dilemma comes in. How do you transition your wardrobe to Fall Looks when it's mid 80's in the Middle is September. It's exciting shopping for a new season wardrobe but when your in between two seasons sometimes you need a little help in the transition. I came across a great article that may help you in choosing your end of summer outfits.  See it her http://buffalonews.com/2017/08/14/early-look-fall-fashion/
