What's New in Sasy's Closet

Hello friends. Have you ever had this situation where you decide you want to do something consistently and as often as you try to be consistent life gets in the way and your best intentions get slidelined for the daily obligations.  It can be work, family, kids, and all the other chores of life. That has been my situation with this blog. I keep promising myself that I’m going to be consistent and then i fall off. So the last post was sometime during the holiday season. The positive to all this is here i am again today posting what’s in Sasy’s Closet. The good thing is that i have been consistent with curating great vintage finds for my customers. Shopping for unique styles of vintage clothing is a job in itself, but I love it and I love fashion.

I have been doing so much research on the different eras of fashion and getting a real good education as to the most desirable eras.  I believe that the 40's era is a very popular one, and so are the 90's, but for me personally I love the 60's and the 70's.  That was my time.  Yes I was a kid in the 60's, but I can always remember looking at my Mom get dressed and her friends and seeing the fashions from the 60's just brings back so many happy memories of easier times of life.

Anyway, here are some new styles that I have recently curated for you. They are not all vintage items as I also like shopping for contemporary fashion. Here are just a few pieces that I think are special and would like to share with you.

If you are like me and love to wear unique clothing and accessories, if you enjoy standing apart from the crowd with your own individualized style and enjoy find one-of-kind clothing that no one else will be wearing, then you might very well be on your way to becoming a passionate collector of vintage.  Buying antique clothing is one way of owning a piece of history and learning how vintage fashion is defined in the process. The beauty of finding that rare treasured dress or skirt or blouse could be extravagant as it being adorned with beads, sequins or embroidery.  Or, it may be unadorned but made with a special fabric that you would not find on contemporary styles of today. When you buy vintage, you are actually purchasing a piece of history.  Think about it.  Who wore that garment that you now own?  For what occasion was it worn?  What did the wearer look like? Perhaps she was sneaking off to a private rendezvous in the dress you now own.  Your...

What's in Sasy's Closet Today?

Well hello folks!  I have some great Vintage Summer Fun Hats to show you that I think you are going to love.  Hats to me are such a statement of being confident enough to pull it off.  I just loved the #royalwedding fashion that we saw last week.  #Megan Markle can wear any hat and look beautiful and mostly it's because she is a woman who is extremely comfortable in her own skin and it shows. The women in attendance of the #royalwedding all exuded confidence in the style and grace.  Hats are the added accessory that just completes a great outfit, and says  to the world "Hey, look at me, I am a confident woman" Well I have always loved wearing hats for statement dating back to the late 70's I went on a first date with a boy from Bensonhurst Brooklyn wearing a cool News Boy Cap.  My friend Leonora and I went shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue for clothing for that date, and I saw this awesome hat that I knew I had to wear to comple...
